Hardball

The movie is about a man who has economic problems. He has a debt. He accepts a job as coach of a baseball team. The team is made up of children of a poor and dangerous neighborhood in Chicago.
The idea of the coach is to receive the necessary payment to pay off his debt and then leave the team. Over the days he feels great affection with the children and knows more their lives.
The film shows how difficult it is to get ahead living in a slum. Everywhere there are always good people and workers. Children learn quickly and follow the path of adults. Children living in a rough neighborhood find it difficult to do good things without being affected by gangsters or thieves.
The coach realized that money is not everything. There are things that fill us with happiness and are not material.
The film shows how a beloved child dies, and that happens frequently in real life. It is a sad reality. Children are our future and we must protect them and give them a fun and healthy live.
